Notice
New Donations
We have recently received a huge donation of DVDs and music CDs. We
have a very big collections of baseball cards and card holders.
We have enlarged our collection of Childrens books. We give each child a free book to encourage reading.
A family donated a large collection of Space science books. We have shared them with other bookstores in the city but we still have quite a few left.
We also have a small donation of Harvard Classics. They have been priced according to Bookfinders.com. our prices are lower than theirs.
We aren't doing as well as we would like. We have extended our hours in order to attract more customers but customer visits are going down rather than going up. Please tell your friends about us. Going out of business is a possibility we don't want to think about but it may happen. Hopefully not in the near future. Please help us by spreading the word of our existance. We are still getting customers in who say they didn't know we were there.
The Friends of Irving Schwartz Libary Bookstore was established in 1996. We began on the corner of Vista Del Sol and George Dieter. After a few years, we relocated to our present location.
We are staffed by a group of dedicated volunteers. The store is filled with donations from the library and the public. We sell the books, puzzles, CDs, Videos, etc and use the funds we receive to support our library.
So stop by and see us. We would love to have you come in and browse.
